Students visit Grundfos' state-of-the-art facilities

50 DTU students were along for the ride when one of the world's largest pump manufacturers invited them to visit Central Jutland to gain insight into the company and expand their network.

One of the students on the tour was Intira Intarat, who studies Sustianable Energy Technologies. She took a tour focussing on water treatment technologies, where she saw rainwater basins and cooling and pumping systems.

“It was really exciting to get around the buildings and see some of the technology that Grundfos works with. It was also cool to get behind closed doors and see their latest work on cooling systems,” she says.

Although Intira Intarat had chosen a tour with a focus outside her own field of study, the trip provided food for thought:

“The tour has given me new perspectives on how sustainable engineering is applied across different industries. I have been inspired to explore new ideas and potential synergies in my continued journey in bio-based fuels.”

Before the bus headed back to the capital, the students attended the Grundfos Prize ceremony where Professor Daniela Pigosso from DTU Construct received the Grundfos Prize 2024 for her work with absolute sustainability. Afterwards, the students had the opportunity to visit the Grundfos Museum and hear about the research projects supported by the Grundfos Foundation.
