Graduation Ceremonies

If you want to be sure to receive your invitation, please register as a member of DTU Alumni and make sure that we have your e-mail address (not your student e-mail, but an e-mail that we can also use in the future to get in touch with you).

Why do I need to register when I arrive at the Graduation Ceremony?
On the day of the Graduation Ceremony, hundreds of students line up to receive their congratulatory diplomas from the Dean. The registration allows us to make sure that all who turn up are called to the stage, and we can avoid waiting for graduates who don’t show up. We ask you to bring your ticket and your student card to ease the registration at your arrival. You will receive your ticket by e-mail, and it is also available on the app called DTU Events, which you can download from both Google Play and App Store.

How do I register?
You register by showing the people at the registration desk your ticket and your student card, so please bring both your ticket and your student card.

How should I dress?
There is no official dress code, but the trend for most ceremonies is a mix between casual and well dressed.

Whom should I bring to the ceremony?
Most graduates bring their parents, their boyfriend/ girlfriend or other relatives, but close friends are also welcome. It is not yet clear how many guests can be accommodated in August, but due to covid-19 restrictions, each graduate will most likely only be able to bring 1 or max 2 guests.

Where can I park?
There are parking lots at building 101 adjacent to Anker Engelunds Vej and at Studentertorvet. See map.

Will there be a photographer?
Yes, a photographer will take photos of all graduates. The photos will be published on Flickr (for high resolution downloads) as well as on DTU Alumni's Facebook page within 1-2 weeks.
