DTU spin-out Senserna aims to revolutionise the microwave oven with new sensor technology that measures food temperature with the energy from microwaves.

Making reheating easy

Their first product - The Milkymeter - has already been launched, and is being used to measure the temperature in breast milk, which has to be reheated to exactly 37 degrees for the infant.
The Milkymeter can be purchased in the shop Kære Børn.

Senserna has also teamed up with the City of Copenhagen in an effort to make it easier for old people to microwave their pre-cooked meals.

Their goal is for the technology to be a standard feature in some microwave ovens within the next few years.
