Inaugural Lecture
Inaugural lecture: Professor Jon Spangenberg
DTU Construct is very pleased to invite you to join us in the celebration of the inaugural lecture of Jon Spangenberg
Digital Fabrication in Construction
Digital fabrication in construction represents a transformative frontier in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industries. It offers unparalleled opportunities for efficiency, precision, and sustainability, fundamentally redefining how we conceive, design, and erect structures.
Jon’s vision is to develop and apply cutting-edge digital technologies, such as numerical process models, 3D printing, robotics, and artificial intelligence, into existing and new construction processes. By pushing the boundaries of digital fabrication, pressing global challenges can be addressed, including housing shortages, environmental sustainability, attrition of construction workers, and the need for resilient structures and infrastructure. In this lecture, Jon will share his research group’s previous, present and future research findings and ideas.
The lecture is followed by a reception from 4 pm to 5 pm, offering an opportunity to network and celebrate David's professorship.
To confirm your attendance, kindly register by 22 April 2025.
