"Alumni play an important role in many areas; among other things, in driving innovation at DTU. I – on behalf of all of DTU – am very grateful for all your expertise, know-how, and your time!"
These were President Anders Bjarklev's words on 21 May when he spoke to the specially invited alumni who attended the "The President's alumni evening" - an annual event where DTU thanks alumni who have made and are making a difference for DTU. This year, the event was hosted by DTU Physics, where exclusive tours were arranged with a presentation of some of the unique research facilities in DTU's new Climate Challenge Laboratory building which opened last year.
DTU honorary alumnus 2025
At the event, the President named Christian Vestergaard Poulsen as DTU honorary alumnus 2025. This was in recognition of his many years of contribution to DTU as a key partner for DTU through a wide range of publicly funded collaborative projects, including serving as a co-supervisor on many student projects from bachelor's to PhD level.
"I am proud to be appointed honorary alumnus at DTU. Technology only makes a difference when we build bridges between research, industry, and society," said Christian in a brief thank-you speech.
